Uses

Sika Boom®-521 FoamFix is particularly easy to use on plasterboard and the following insulating materials:

• Extruded Polystyrene (XPS) Sheets
• Styrofoam – Expanded polystyrene (EPS) sheets
• Fiberboards
• Cork boards
• Polyurethane/polyisocyanurate boards (PUR/PIR)
• Also used for:
• Installation of thermal insulation panels and filling of gaps
• when applying the glue
• Welding of wooden building materials to concrete, metals, etc.
• All types of applications requiring limited expansion polyurethane foam

For mounting and insulating window and door frames

  Immediate adhesion and ability to use the panels within 2 hours of their adjustment
• Particularly economical. Ready to use in an aerosol can.
• Minimal secondary swelling during the ripening period
• After it is fully matured, no further expansion and contraction takes place.
• Lightweight material compared to plaster and other alternative materials used in thermal insulation systems
• No extra weight during application
• High performance - up to 55 liters, depending on humidity and temperature
• Behavior in fire: Class E (EN 13501-1), B2 (DIN 4102)
• Can also be used at low temperatures (0°C)
• It does not contain propellant gases that damage the ozone layer
